Carcass - Necrotism: Descanting The Insalubrious

Take a trip back in time to 1997...My brother had told my how good Carcass were, but I never had any of their stuff. Later I saw Terrorizer magazine saying that "Necrotism..." was the best album of the 90's. So I thought what the hell? and dished out fifteen bucks for it. I rushed home and played it. The first time I thought that it was pretty good, but the more I listened to it the better it got, I continued to listen to it until one day I just heard that opening riff of "Impropogation" and thought Shit! That's good. I still listen to this album regularly and it never wears off, it's always amazing each time. This album would be perfect if it were not for "Lavaging Expectorate Of Lysergic Composition". There's nothing wrong with this track, it's just average. If technical music is for you (Bill Steer really is a guitar god) I would really recommend this album for you. Everything about it is great, the guitar riffs grind like they should, the bass provides a good low end sound, Jeff Walker and Bill Steer's vocals sound amazing and the drumming... oh the drumming. Everyone bow to Ken Owen. Carcass really are the best band of the 90s.
