Earache/Wicked World 2000

Hi kids, do you know what this is? It's the album of 2000, far and away. In my 3 years of listening to metal, never has a debut blown me away like this disc. I do not know where to begin. Amazing riffs, amazing drumming, amazing songwriting, amazing band. Vitek, the band's 16 year old drummer is quite possibly the most underrated drummer in metal today. The riffs on this album are so tight and crisp it will make some of the veterans in the death metal scene jealous. The best description I've seen of this band was "Vader meets Angelcorpse". If you wanna know the most amazing part about the band, it's the fact that none of its members exceed the age of 19. Some of the most memorable death metal songs to come out in 10 years are found on 'Winds of Creation', such as the title track, 'Blessed', 'Way to Salvation', and their amazing cover of Slayer's 'Mandatory Suicide'. A lot of people say it's impossible to be melodic and maintain brutality... Next time they tell you, look 'em in the eye and tell them they're 'full of shit because there are so many great melodies on this album that it's uncountable. Overall, if you even THINK you like death metal, you must have this album as it is a masterpiece.

Side notes: The production on this album is stellar, everything is clear and the guitar tone is as crisp as they come, the drumming is simply amazing, the melodies and harmonies are enough to make any metal fan require a change of pants... One thing I might add is that some people are turned off by the vocals, they are very very deep and guttural.. I for one love them but some say they don't fit.

Greetings!

Hey again! Im back to give an EXCELLENT review over the young new band Decapitated! Their debut CD entitled "Winds of Creation" These 16-19 year old kids know how to fuckin play metal! If you've heard this CD you know what im talking about.... They recorded they're first demo when the drummer was only 14... and that kid can play some FAST blast beats... ITS AMAZING! i give these kids MAD props! Anyways, to the CD... on the scale of one to ten... these kids get a 7 1/2. They oviously still have ALOT to learn... but they sound pretty good. They're CD has some killer drums and vocals, but the guitars i cant say much for. Pretty simplistic and not very technical, which i think is very important.but give these kids another 5 years and they'll be the next cannibal corpse! all in all its a pretty good CD to just sit down and have a listen to...
