Rebaelliun - Burn The Promised Land

This is some early-Krisiun-worshipping Brazillian death metal. I think along with early Krisiun, this band has alot of Deicide influence, especially in track 7, The Legacy of Eternal Wrath, where the singer virtually changes his style to something more reminiscent of Deicide's Glenn Benton. So far you can probably gather that this album has more song definition than your average death metal album, and this is something I can appreciate, because this particular Deicide/Krisiun style generally has the least variation of any type of death metal. This band definitely has some atmosphere, and it's through this atmosphere that I'm reminded of Deicide and Krisiun. The first song, At War really suits its title, and makes the listener feel under seige with its powerful fast riffing and machine gun blast beats. The songs on the album hit the listener with power and heaviness, but in alot of places the riffs are a bit too simplistic, and even one-dimensional. I don't feel fully satisfied after listening to this album. So even though it has alot of song definition and atmosphere, I would choose Krisiun over this by far, for sheer quality of guitaring, songwriting and production.
